This Privacy Policy explains how Guitar Lounge (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use this website. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to the practices described here.
Guitar Lounge is a free set of browser-based tools for guitarists (a fretboard playground, scale practice, tuner, metronome, and pedalboard). The site is operated by Guitar Lounge Support. For any privacy question, contact us at contact@guitar-lounge.com.
We collect only what you give us when you choose to create an account:
If you never create an account, we do not collect personal information about you through the site.
The Tuner and Pedalboard ask for microphone access, and the Pedalboard can load an audio file you select. This audio is processed entirely inside your own browser in real time. It is never recorded, uploaded, transmitted, or stored by us. Microphone access is used only while those tools are active and stops when you leave them. Any audio file you load stays on your device.
We use your account details only to create and secure your account, sign you in, and display your name while you are logged in. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
We rely on a few third-party services to run the site. They process data on our behalf or deliver content to your browser:
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — such as how many people visit, which tools are popular, and overall page performance. It is privacy-first: it sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect personal information. The data is only ever viewed in aggregate and is not used to identify or profile you.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use only the browser storage needed to keep you logged in, as described above. Our traffic analytics (above) is cookieless.
We keep your account details for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account yourself at any time from the Account page (click your name in the top bar) — this permanently removes your profile and every pedalboard and tuning you saved. You can also email contact@guitar-lounge.com and we will remove it for you.
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email contact@guitar-lounge.com.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
